Your adventure’s start and end time will be confirmed ahead of your hike.

What To Bring

To help you enjoy the day safely and comfortably, we recommend:

  • Footwear: Sturdy hiking boots or trail runners (trails may have loose rock, slippery spots, and some ups and downs).

  • Clothing & Gear: Hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, bug spray, rain jacket, and a backpack.

  • Food & Drink: Plenty of water & snacks or a packed lunch.

  • Health Essentials: Any personal medications or allergy relief you may need.

What To Wear

Hot Weather:

Wear light, breathable, moisture-wicking clothing (e.g., Columbia PFG shirt, REI Sahara shorts), a wide-brim hat or cap, sunglasses, and sunscreen. Choose ventilated hiking boots or trail runners (e.g., Merrell Moab Ventilator, Altra Lone Peak).

Tip: Light colors reflect heat, and start hydrated before your hike.

Cold Weather:

Dress in layers — moisture-wicking base (e.g., Smartwool merino top and bottoms), insulating mid-layer (e.g., Patagonia R1 fleece), and waterproof outer shell (e.g., Marmot PreCip or Arc’teryx Beta). Add a warm hat, gloves, and insulated boots with wool socks (e.g., Darn Tough socks, Salomon X Ultra Winter boots).

Tip: Avoid cotton, keep extremities covered, and pack an extra pair of dry socks.
